God is thinking
about me right now. If you are a child of God in Christ, He is thinking about you right now too. What an amazing God! Psalm 8:4 states, “what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” I was thinking on this as I took a walk down the street from my home. Of all the people on the Earth right now, in all the planets of the solar system, of all the stars in the universe right now God is mindful of me, John Sansone. He is not only thinking about you and me, but He is also concerned about all the we are concerned with. In fact, He tells us in His word to,“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
There is nothing too painful, too stressful, too shameful that God would not want you and I too throw on to His most capable shoulders. The word translated to “cast” bascially means to throw it on something, in this case like a pack mule. He already knows our fears and concerns and trials intimately, He’s God! I know that I can’t handle many of the stresses and challenges that I am currently facing these days. So today I made the choice as these verses came to my mind through the Holy Spirit to cast those cares on Him and allow Him to help me to keep going and to experience His peace. What a good God we serve as followers of Jesus Christ.
